Why We Built This Site
South Carolina gives the public broad access to many court and public records, but Williamsburg County records are not held in one office or one search tool. Circuit Court records usually route through the South Carolina Public Index and the Williamsburg County Clerk of Court. Family Court records use a separate state portal and local Family Court Division. Probate Court handles estates and marriage licenses and states that those records are not online. Jail and warrant questions often require the Sheriff's Office, Detention Center, Magistrate Court, or municipal court.
What You Will Find Here
- Records pages by type: court records, arrest records and charges, inmate records, warrant records, marriage and divorce, Probate Court, and more
- Office contacts: direct contact info for the Clerk of Court, Circuit Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, Sheriff, and Detention Center
- Search walkthroughs: practical steps for the South Carolina Public Index, Family Court portal, traffic ticket search, SCDC search, and other official systems
- Public records help: plain-language notes on South Carolina FOIA, court-rule redactions, sealing, expungement, and local access limits
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any South Carolina court, Williamsburg County office, sheriff's office, clerk's office, municipal court, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of court, marriage, divorce, probate, jail, or driver records
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific Williamsburg County case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, portal, or office procedure is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. The document has to come from that office.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
